BLUE CROWN SPARK PLUG SPECIAL #8

This Indy/Championship car was built in 1938 by Joe Lencki of Chicago, Ill. It qualified & ran "The INDY 500" for five years (1939-1947).

It drivers included: Tony Willman, George Conner, Emil Andres, Tony Bettenhausen, Mauri Rose, Ronnie Householder, "COWBOY" O'Rourke. This unique race car has the only 6-cylinder engine that Fred Offenhauser ever built and it was designed by Leo Goosen in 1938.

Another great asset of the Blue Crown Spark Plug Special #8, is the fact it was the first race car at Indianapolis with four wheel disc brakes!

It was restored (and is owned) by Don McReynolds of Sonora, Arizona.

This car is available for purchase! Contact Don McReynolds at http://www.southwest-valuations.com for information.
